Warsaw Kids Film Forum is an international event for films and tv series aimed to young audience. During the forum there will be: workshops, lectures and meetings about film production for children, as well as projects in development and work in progress presentations, and One-To-One consultations by script and law consultants, distributors and sales agents.

Between 24 and 28 projects from Poland and Europe will take part in the pitch session, including 8 projects from Kids Kino.Lab programme.

Warsaw Kids Film Forum 2019 will take place from the 25th to the 27th of September 2019, in Warsaw.

The forum is being organized for the film and media industries in Poland and Europe, with an emphasis on presenting projects from Central and Eastern Europe as well as the Baltic states. We are inviting: producers, writers, directors, distributors, sales agents, funding institutions, as well as others interested in creating culture for children.

Kids Kino.Lab  it’s a program dedicated solely to the development of scripts and production basics of films for young audiences. Our goal is to support the production of ambitious movies for children aged 4-12 years, based on the highest artistic and production standards of European cinema.

One of the projects from the previous edition of our programme was a box office hit in Polish cinemas (Double Trouble, dir. M. Karwowska), many applied for funds and was granted with the funding by the Polish Film Institute.

Kids Film.Pro works with 12 teams (scriptwriter and producer) on participants projects – both feature films and series. We develop the script form short synopsis to second draft of script together with production basics (estimated budget, financing and promotion plan). Kids Kino.Lab 2019/20 edition is an international one where we accept entires from our partnership countries: Belgium, Czech Republic, Greece and Poland.

Among our tutors are:

  • Philip LaZebnik (wirters tutor – scriptwriter of Dreamworks movies – ex. Mulan, Pocahontas, currently working in Europe)
  • Kirsten Bonnen Rask (writers tutor – previously consulting scripts of Lars von Trier and Urlich Seidl, currently writer, producer and consultant of many children film, head of South Norwegian Filmcenter)
  • Ronald Kruschak (producers tutor – producer and writer, his films got many awards in Germany, some of them reached 1 mln. audience)
  • Armin Prediger (series script Tutor. Armin has worked in the film industry for 30 years, 24 of those as a writer, head writer and script editor in live-action and animation).
